WELCOME TO OUR HATCHERY
In the mid-eighties (not to date myself) I developed my interest in discus. Back then I was intrigued with the challenge of breeding these fish and really enjoyed it. Over the last 15 years this hobby has grown into what you see today.
As the hobby grew I have finally settled the location of the hatchery into what my family call (the fish house).
Built originally to hold the tractor and maple syrup supplies, we decided to change the 22 x 32 foot building into a brand new hatchery, where I could expand the tanks and accommodate the strains I wanted to keep and breed.
This hobby has allowed me to meet with many discus lovers from around the world, and many have become friends. In fact some of my best friends are discus hobbyists.
During this time, I have developed a relationship with Wayne Ng in Hong Kong. As many of you know he is highly respected and one of the finest breeders in the world. He has created some of the most recognized strains anywhere in the world.
One of the strengths of the relationship we have is that we are strong believers that discus should not be hormone. We believe they should be allowed to grow well and healthy and their colours developed naturally without chemical enhancement.
I have worked hard to enjoy an excellent relationship with my customers and to maintain a good reputation to breed, raise and sell quality fish here in Canada, which my customers are happy to receive.
